Calitri is a small hilltown with plenty of great walking and exploring but there are NO STEPS to arrive to or enter my house. There are two bread bakeries, a coffee bar and small grocery within easy walking distance from my front door and many more services in the center of town, about a ten minute walk. Plenty of authentic restaurants, pizzerias and gelato, pastry and coffee bars with a lively evening passeggiata and other traditional Italian discoveries.

One and a half hours by car to Napoli, Paestum or the Amalfi Coast, about two hours to Bari or other cities on the coast of Puglia, beautiful mysterious Matera or the southern beaches of Monopoli. Locally, there are a few undiscovered medieval castle village gems just minutes away.
